So Am I was written back in 1997. We thought it would be appropriate to record this version of the song because of its relevance to the lives we lead and the people that embrace us...

for me, life has always been about friendship.

So Am I carries me away to this wonderful day and evening when Bart had to play a small festival. We stayed, enjoyed the stillness of a nearby lake and the sun as it set.

this moment must have been one of the first I started to realize what friendship is all about. this is why I wrote it. this is why I still love it. this is why I enjoyed playing it live so much. because it was about them. these wonderful people playing in this band with me. bonding. sharing. helping. crying. laughing. living. reflecting. meeting. loving...

They're still there
